These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Legal entity name], doing business as Royalty Detective ("Royalty Detective," "we," "us"), based in Cooper City, Florida, USA. They cover your use of royaltydetective.com and the royalty-detective.pages.dev preview (the "Site"), our waitlist, and the Royalty Ready setup guide / checklist / membership products when offered. By using the Site or signing up, you agree to these Terms and to our [Privacy Policy.

1. What we offer

Royalty Ready is educational guidance and checklists that help you join and register yourself with official organizations such as The MLC, ASCAP or BMI (as a writer), and SoundExchange. You create every account and file every registration yourself on those organizations' sites.

We may offer:

Checkout may not be live yet. Joining the waitlist does not oblige you to buy, and does not oblige us to sell.

2. What we do not offer

We are not a music publisher, publishing administrator, collection society, collection agency, or law firm. We do not:

• File or correct registrations as your agent
• Log into your society, MLC, SoundExchange, or distributor accounts
• Collect, claim, recover, or chase royalties (including unmatched / black-box / market-share pools) on your behalf
• Charge a success fee, recovery fee, or any percentage of royalties
• Receive, hold, or route your money
• Advise on split disputes or ownership
• Promise that you are owed any dollar amount
• Provide legal, tax, or financial advice

An older Engagement & Success Fee Agreement and audit/recovery pricing (Deep Audit, Flat Fix, 15% of back pay) are retired and not part of this product. They are not offered on the Site.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for reading each organization's current eligibility rules and fees before you join, for the accuracy of what you file, and for complying with those organizations' terms. Official pages always control over our summaries.

4. Waitlist and communications

If you join the waitlist, we may email you about Royalty Ready availability, your chosen plan preference, and product updates you requested. See the Privacy Policy. You can ask us to delete your waitlist information at any time.

5. Paid products (when available)

When checkout opens, the listed price is the only amount you owe for that product unless taxes apply. There is no success fee and no royalty percentage. Refunds, if any, will be stated at checkout and in an updated version of these Terms before paid sales begin. Until then, no payment is due for joining the waitlist.

6. Intellectual property

Site content (guides, checklists, branding) is owned by us or our licensors. You may use materials we deliver to you for your own setup. You may not resell our guides as a competing product without permission.

7. Disclaimers

The Site and materials are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that following the guide will result in any royalty payments, membership approval, or specific timeline. Societies and other third parties make their own decisions. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost royalties, profits, or data, arising from your use of the Site or guides. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site or a paid product is limited to the amount you paid us for that product in the 12 months before the claim (or $49 if you paid nothing).

9. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims arising from what you file at societies, your misuse of the Site, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Broward County, Florida have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law requires otherwise.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms as the product changes. We'll post the new version and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be emailed to waitlist or customer emails when practical. Changes are not retroactive.
